The Pre-Primary Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and enriching learning environment for children aged [specify age range, e.g., 3-6 years]. This role requires fostering the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of children by implementing developmentally appropriate activities, teaching strategies, and individualized attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instruction & Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, organize, and implement daily lessons based on a structured curriculum, incorporating play-based learning.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and learning styles of individual children.
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities and interactive lessons.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a warm, welcoming, and safe classroom environment.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s policies.
- Ensure the classroom is organized, clean, and conducive to learning.
- Assessment & Reporting:
- Observe and assess students' development, skills, and behavioral patterns regularly.
- Keep records of children's progress and share insights with parents during parent-teacher meetings or via regular updates.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with other educators and staff members to support student growth and create a cohesive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school management, sharing updates on child development and classroom activities.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure children’s safety at all times, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Maintain awareness of any medical needs or allergies and ensure proper care is provided.
- Extracurricular Activities:
- Plan and participate in school events, celebrations, and field trips to enrich the students' learning experience.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or related field (preferred).
- Certification in early childhood education.
- Experience working with young children, ideally in a pre-primary or preschool setting.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Patient, caring, and adaptable with a passion for working with young children.
