About the Role
Chandigarh University is seeking a dynamic and experienced academic leader for the position of Head of Department (HOD) – Management. The role involves providing strategic direction, driving academic excellence, enhancing research output, and strengthening industry collaboration within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Department of Management effectively
- Drive academic planning, curriculum development, and outcome-based education
- Mentor faculty members and promote research & publications
- Ensure high-quality teaching-learning practices
- Build industry collaborations, corporate connect, and academic partnerships
- Support accreditation, ranking, and quality assurance initiatives
- Organize FDPs, conferences, seminars, and industry interactions
- Monitor student performance, placements, and overall development
- Contribute to admissions, branding, and strategic growth initiatives
Eligibility Criteria
- PhD in Management or relevant specialization from a recognized university
- Strong academic and administrative experience in higher education
- Proven leadership experience as HOD/Dean/Academic Coordinator preferred
- Excellent research profile with Scopus/ABDC/UGC-Care publications
- Strong communication, mentoring, and team management skills
- Industry exposure and corporate networking will be an added advantage
