A Hub In-Charge is responsible for the overall operation, performance, staff management, and service quality of a hub/branch/warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Hub Operations
- Ensure smooth opening, closing, and day-to-day functioning of the hub.
- Monitor inbound and outbound shipments/materials.
- Ensure proper sorting, scanning, loading, unloading, and dispatch.
- Maintain operational discipline and process compliance.
- Team Management
- Supervise hub staff, delivery executives, loaders, sorters, and support teams.
- Allocate duties and shifts according to workload.
- Track attendance, productivity, and performance.
- Train employees on processes, safety, and company policies.
- Handle team issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Performance & Productivity
- Achieve daily/weekly/monthly operational targets.
- Monitor KPIs such as shipment turnaround time, productivity, pending shipments, delivery success rate, and error rates.
- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action.
- Prepare and share performance reports with management.
- Inventory & Asset Management
- Ensure accurate stock/inventory records.
- Conduct regular physical verification and reconciliation.
- Prevent loss, damage, theft, and misplacement.
- Maintain hub equipment, scanners, vehicles, and other assets.
- Customer Service
- Resolve customer complaints and shipment-related issues.
- Coordinate with customer support and other departments.
- Ensure timely resolution of escalations.
- Maintain high service-quality standards.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and applicable regulations.
- Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness.
- Report accidents, incidents, losses, or security concerns.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.
- Coordination
- Coordinate with transport, delivery, warehouse, customer service, finance, HR, and regional teams.
- Manage peak-period workload and operational emergencies.
- Communicate important updates and issues to senior management.
