UAV Sourcing & Supplier Development Engineer
Location: Bhopal (Work From Office)

About IZI
IZI is building next-generation UAVs, imaging systems, robotics, and advanced technology products for consumer, enterprise, and defense applications. We are looking for a Technical Sourcing & Supplier Development Engineer to support product development by identifying the right suppliers, sourcing quality components, and strengthening our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard OEMs, ODMs, manufacturers, and component suppliers.
- Source electronic, mechanical, UAV, camera, and embedded system components.
- Coordinate with R&D and Production teams during new product development.
- Support component selection, BOM preparation, and alternate component sourcing.
- Manage RFQs, supplier quotations, pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Build strong supplier relationships and support vendor negotiations.
- Conduct market research to identify new technologies, suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Benchmark products and sourcing strategies to improve quality, cost, and performance.
- Work closely with Procurement, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely sourcing and project execution.
Required Skills
- Technical sourcing and supplier development.
- Vendor management and RFQ handling.
- Understanding of electronic and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of BOMs, engineering drawings, and product development processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in UAV, Drone, Robotics, Consumer Electronics, or Embedded Systems.
- Knowledge of OEM/ODM sourcing and supplier development.
- Exposure to cost optimization, supply chain management, and new product introduction (NPI).
- Willingness to travel to supplier and manufacturing locations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Aerospace, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 6 Months – 3 Years of experience in Technical Procurement, Supplier Development, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, or Component Sourcing.
