To be able to gather Inputs/Data, Visualize and Analyse it in an effective Manner To review Design Packages, Project Drawings and other deliverables in-order facilitate the estimation process Should generate Techno-Commercial documentation ; present to management / Stake Holders Should be able to understand and prepare SLDs, BOM (preferably both for LT & HT Switchgear Panels, Sub-stations Out door units)
- Should possess strong Analytical & Strategic Planning skills
- Hands-on experience over Autodesk (CAD design development)
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for determining the electrical cost for the given project. You will also be responsible for reading and interpreting the blueprints in an effective way. You should be able to coordinate with the Contractor to estimate the cost of each electrical element. In addition to this, you should have extraordinary knowledge of electrical codes and distribution systems. Furthermore, you should possess excellent time management and analytical skills to be successful in this position.
Responsibilities
- ü Determining the electrical needs of the project.
- ü Drawing the outline and blueprints for the said electrical system.
- ü Placing the utility, workstation, and other fixtures as per the specifications.
- ü Understanding and interpreting the blueprints.
- ü Reviewing the plan to estimate the length of electrical wire.
- ü Identifying the cost and time constraints.
- ü Knowing the supply cost for each individual element.
- ü Determining the labor requirements for completing the project.
- ü Working in coordination with Contractors and other team members.
- ü Maintaining electrical cost database.
- ü Performing calculations of various profitability solutions.
- ü Negotiating with the suppliers and vendors.
- ü Maintaining a healthy relationship with the vendors.
- ü Identifying the risk involved in the project.
- ü Explaining the cost of wastage materials.
- ü Completing the project bids as per the guidelines.
- ü Adhering to all the electrical rules and regulations.
