Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and creative Bakery Chef to prepare high-quality baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts. The ideal candidate should have strong baking knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistency, hygiene, and presentation standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, muffins, cookies, and desserts.
- Develop and test new recipes and seasonal menu items.
- Ensure all baked products meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and maintain inventory levels.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for timely production and delivery.
- Manage portion control and minimize food wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station.
- Train and supervise junior bakers or kitchen assistants when required.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bakery Chef, Pastry Chef, or Baker.
- Diploma or certification in Baking & Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Creativity and passion for baking and dessert presentation.
- Good time-management and multitasking skills.
Preferred Skills
- Cake decoration and pastry finishing skills.
- Knowledge of artisan breads and specialty desserts.
- Inventory and kitchen management experience.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
