*JOB DESCRIPTION: HOSPITAL ACCOUNTANT*
*1. Key Responsibilities:*
*Patient Billing & Collections*
1. Verify OPD/IPD bills including room rent, OT charges, doctor fees, nursing, pharmacy
2. Compare package billing vs actual charges for surgeries/maternity cases
3. Handle credit cases and charity approvals with management
4. Final bill settlement and patient discharge process
*Cash & Banking*
1. Reconcile daily cash collection from billing counters with HMS
2. Bank deposits and monthly bank reconciliation
3. Manage petty cash for hospital expenses
4. Reconcile UPI, credit card, NEFT transactions
*TPA / Insurance Desk*
1. Check patient insurance/TPA eligibility at admission
2. Prepare and submit pre-auth and final claim files to TPAs
3. Follow up with Star, Care, HDFC Ergo, Niva Bupa for approvals
4. Resolve claim rejections, queries, and pending payments
*Vendor & Purchase Accounts*
1. 3-way matching of PO, GRN, and invoices for medicines/consumables
2. Maintain vendor ledgers and schedule payments
3. Track AMC and equipment maintenance bills
4. Monthly stock audit of pharmacy and hospital stores
*Statutory Compliance*
1. GST billing for pharmacy, lab, and cafeteria if applicable
2. TDS deduction on vendor/doctor payments + monthly TDS return
3. PF, ESI, Professional Tax calculation and challan filing
4. Coordinate with CA for audit, ITR, and GST returns
*MIS & Reporting*
1. Daily collection report and pending bills report for management
2. Monthly P&L and department-wise revenue analysis - OT, Lab, Radiology
3. Doctor payout calculation as per agreement
4. Budget vs actual variance reports
*2. Qualifications:*
1. *Education:* B.Com / M.Com. CA Inter / ICWA Inter preferred
2. *Experience:* 3-5 years in hospital/clinic/nursing home accounting
3. *Software:* Tally Prime + Hospital Management System like Mediware, Ardent, CUREMD, Aarogya
4. *Knowledge:* GST, TDS, PF/ESI, Insurance TPA process, NABH billing norms
*3. Key Skills:*
1. High accuracy - billing errors impact revenue and patient trust
2. TPA/Insurance claim knowledge - 40% of hospital revenue comes from this
3. Stress management for month-end and audits
4. Integrity for cash handling
*4. Salary & Benefits - Delhi:*
₹30,000 - ₹40,000/month + Performance bonus + leaves facility
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
