Position Title: Food & Beverage Host
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / F&B Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Food & Beverage Host plays a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This position is responsible for greeting and seating customers, managing reservations, and providing general support to the restaurant's front-of-house operations. The host ensures that guests have an excellent dining experience from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Greeting & Seating: Greet guests warmly upon arrival and direct them to their assigned tables based on availability and reservation status.
- Reservation Management: Maintain the reservation book and manage reservations efficiently using the system. Ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner, according to the reservation schedule.
- Guest Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all guests feel welcome, valued, and informed about wait times, restaurant specials, or menu items.
- Waitlist Management: Manage and maintain a waitlist during peak hours, informing guests of expected wait times, and providing updates as necessary.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with waitstaff, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and prompt guest service.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the front-of-house area is clean, organized, and inviting. Monitor the cleanliness of the entry area, restrooms, and seating areas.
- Handling Inquiries: Answer phone calls, assist with reservations, and respond to inquiries about restaurant hours, menu items, or special events.
- Assist with Special Requests: Handle guest requests, complaints, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring they are addressed appropriately.
- Supporting F&B Staff: Provide additional support to servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff as needed. Assist with opening/closing duties.
- Upholding Safety Standards: Follow health and safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage high-stress situations and multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher
Pay: ₹17,989.75 - ₹19,027.03 per month
