Automation Tester Intern
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Automation Tester Intern to join our QA team. As an intern, you will assist in designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Playwright to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks, CI/CD practices, and software quality assurance methodologies while working closely with experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to understand project requirements and test scenarios.
- Execute automated and manual test cases to identify, document, and track software defects.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of existing Playwright automation frameworks.
- Analyze test execution results and prepare clear bug reports and test documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and testing discussions to improve automation quality and coverage.
- Learn and apply best practices in software testing, automation, and quality assurance.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and team meetings.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and STLC.
- Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with or academic exposure to Playwright for web automation testing.
- Understanding of concepts such as locators, assertions, test suites, and test execution in Playwright.
- Familiarity with API testing concepts and REST APIs is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience creating automated UI tests using Playwright.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to API automation testing tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of test reporting and debugging techniques.

Pay: ₹5,000.00 per month
