Key Responsibilities
- Patient Management: Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, formulate treatment plans, and perform daily clinical rounds.
- Procedures: Perform and supervise advanced critical care procedures, including endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and mechanical ventilation management.
- Emergency Response: Lead the immediate medical response and resuscitation (e.g., Code Blue) during sudden patient deterioration or cardiac arrests.
- Communication: Update senior consultants on patient status and provide compassionate counseling to patients' families regarding prognoses and treatment plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient charts, treatment protocols, progress notes, and timely discharge summaries.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and provide on-the-job training to junior medical officers, interns, and nursing staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: MBBS with a postgraduate degree (MD, DNB, or IDCCM) in critical care, internal medicine, anaesthesiology, or pulmonary medicine.
- Experience: Typically requires 2 to 5+ years of hands-on critical care or intensive care experience.
- Skills: Excellent critical thinking, the ability to make quick decisions under pressure, and valid BLS/ACLS certifications.
Pay: ₹29,024.94 - ₹107,603.40 per month
