About the Role
AAFT University of Media & Arts, Raipur is looking for a creative and highly skilled Social Media
Video Editor to join our Marketing & Branding team. This role is primarily focused on editing
engaging, high-performing video content for digital platforms while also supporting video shoots
whenever required.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of social media trends, storytelling,
editing techniques, and platform-specific content formats. They should also be confident in
operating professional cameras and production equipment for marketing shoots, campus
events, interviews, and promotional campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
● Edit high-quality videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, Facebook,
LinkedIn, and other digital platforms.
● Create engaging, fast-paced, and platform-optimized content that drives reach,
engagement, and admissions.
● Edit student testimonials, faculty interviews, campus life videos, event highlights,
promotional films, and brand campaigns.
● Add motion graphics, transitions, captions, subtitles, background music, sound design,
and brand elements.
● Perform color correction, color grading, and audio enhancement.
● Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form social media assets.
● Deliver projects within tight marketing timelines while maintaining high creative quality.
● Organize raw footage, project files, and media assets efficiently.
Secondary Responsibilities
● Handle DSLR/Mirrorless cameras during university shoots when required.
● Assist in filming campus activities, workshops, events, interviews, admissions
campaigns, and promotional content.
● Set up lighting, microphones, gimbals, and other production equipment.
● Capture high-quality footage following the creative brief provided by the Marketing Team.
Required Skills
● Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro.
● Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
● Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
● Experience with DaVinci Resolve is an added advantage.
● Understanding of social media editing styles and current content trends.
● Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, music selection, and audience retention.
● Knowledge of subtitles, motion graphics, and platform-specific video optimization.
● Ability to operate DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and basic lighting equipment.
● Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools such as Adobe Firefly, Runway, Descript, or
similar tools is a plus.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Film Making, Media Production, Mass Communication,
Video Editing, or a related field.
● 2–4 years of experience in social media video editing or digital content production.
● Freshers with an outstanding portfolio are encouraged to apply.
Ideal Candidate
