Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Infotainment Lead to drive the design, development, and integration of Android-based infotainment systems for next-generation vehicles. The role requires deep expertise in Android framework internals and application development, along with proven leadership in managing infotainment projects and teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Lead architecture, design, and development of Android framework components for automotive infotainment platforms.
2. Guide and oversee infotainment application development (media, navigation, connectivity, HMI, personalization).
3. Work closely with cross-functional teams (HMI, middleware, hardware, connectivity, UX) to deliver seamless infotainment experiences.
4. Ensure performance, stability, and compliance with Android Automotive (AAOS) standards.
5. Drive debugging, performance tuning, and optimization for infotainment apps and framework services.
6. Collaborate with OEM/Tier-1 partners on feature definition, integration, and validation.
7. Mentor team members and provide technical leadership in Android infotainment development.
8. Work closely with cross-functional teams across globe.
Professional & Technical Skills:
1. Strong expertise in Android Framework internals (System Services, HALs, AOSP customization).
2. Hands-on experience in Android Infotainment application development (Java/Kotlin, Android SDK/NDK).
3. Programming skills : Java/Kotlin Android application development C/C++ Native services, HAL Integration Python & Shell Scripting Automation, build, debugging
4. Good understanding of multimedia, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, connectivity stacks, projection (CarPlay, Android Auto).
5. Knowledge of HMI frameworks, touch/voice UI, UX integration in automotive context.
6. Familiarity with IVI system architecture, performance optimization, and automotive standards.
7. Years of automotive/embedded Android development, with 2 3 years in a lead/architect role.
8. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross functional team.
9. Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in Infotainment & Telematics.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
