Project Role Description : Resolve incidents and problems across multiple business system components and ensure operational stability. Create and implement Requests for Change (RFC) and update knowledge base articles to support effective troubleshooting. Collaborate with vendors and help service management teams with issue analysis and resolution.

Role Summary
The Network Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and wireless environments. The role involves working in medium to large-scale networking environments, providing L2/L3 level support, executing changes, and ensuring network stability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Operations & Support
Perform day-to-day administration of LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity using network tools.
Provide L2/L3 troubleshooting for incidents across routing, switching, and wireless domains.
2. Routing & Switching (Cisco,Juniper)
Configure and troubleshoot:
VLANs, STP, EtherChannel
Layer 3 routing (OSPF, BGP, static routing)
Support Cisco and Juniper devices (routers, switches, SD-WAN if applicable).
3. Wireless Networking (Cisco / Aruba)
Manage and troubleshoot wireless networks:
Aruba Controllers, Access Points, Aruba Central
Cisco Wireless Controllers (WLC) and APs
Handle SSID configuration, RF optimization, authentication issues, and roaming problems.
Ensure wireless coverage and redundancy for enterprise environments.
4. Incident, Problem & Change Management
Handle incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within SLA timelines.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
Execute standard and emergency network changes as per change management process.
5. Network Infrastructure & Implementation
Support deployment and configuration of new network devices.
Assist in network upgrades, migrations, and transformations (e.g., Aruba to Juniper or Cisco upgrades).
Validate network connectivity and performance post-implementation.
6. Documentation & Compliance
Develop and maintain network documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security and operational policies.
Update knowledge base and share best practices across teams.
Required Skills & Technical Expertise
Core Networking
Strong understanding of OSI/TCP-IP model
Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP
Switching technologies: VLAN, STP, VTP, trunking
Vendor Technologies
Cisco: Routing, Switching, Wireless, DNAC (preferred)
Juniper: JUNOS CLI, Routing, Switching
Aruba: WLAN Controllers, Aruba Central, Access Points
Wireless Technologies
802.11 protocols (a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
RF fundamentals and troubleshooting
AAA (RADIUS, TACACS), WLAN security
Tools (Good to Have)
Monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, or similar
Network automation basics (Python/Ansible – optional)
Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science / IT / Electronics or equivalent
4–6 years of experience in enterprise network operations/support role
Certifications (Preferred)
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Juniper JNCIA / JNCIS (preferred)
Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) – optional
15 years full time education
