Job Description – Safety Officer
1) Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and qualified Safety Officer to ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance at road construction and civil industrial project sites. The role involves implementing safety procedures, conducting training, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
2) Duties & Responsibilities :
- Implement and monitor safety policies and HSE procedures at site
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety rules and company safety standards
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions
- Prepare and maintain safety documents, reports, and registers
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and induction programs
- Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at site
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on safety matters
- Ensure safety compliance during road work, machinery operation, and lifting activities
- Assist during safety audits and client inspections
Knowledge of Safety Regulations (preferred)

3) Requirements :
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years as Safety Officer in Civil / Road Projects
- Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and HSE norms
- Familiarity with road construction hazards and heavy equipment safety
- Good communication and reporting skills
4) Education & Certification :
Education:
- Diploma / Degree (Any stream preferred)
