Position: API Tank Designer
Experience: 6–10 Years
Location: Poonamallee,Chennai
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced API Tank Designer with strong expertise in the design and detailing of above-ground storage tanks as per API standards. The candidate should have hands-on experience in tank design calculations, fabrication drawings, and coordination with engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design above-ground storage tanks as per API 650 / API 620 standards
* Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and detailed engineering drawings
* Perform tank design calculations and material estimation
* Coordinate with structural, piping, and project teams
* Review client specifications and technical documents
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements
* Support fabrication and site teams during execution
* Prepare BOM and engineering documentation
* Handle design modifications and technical clarifications
Required Skills:
* Strong knowledge of API 650 / API 620 standards
* Experience in storage tank design and detailing
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADWorx, SolidWorks, or related tools
* Knowledge of fabrication drawings and steel structures
* Good understanding of material standards and welding practices
* Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
Qualification:* BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Pay: ₹9,131.16 - ₹46,214.35 per month
