Job Summary
The Floor Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) is responsible for managing day-to-day restaurant floor operations, ensuring excellent guest experience, maintaining operational standards, handling team coordination, and supporting outlet business targets. The role requires strong leadership, operational control, customer handling, and team management capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Ensure smooth day-to-day restaurant operations
- Manage floor setup, opening, and closing procedures
- Maintain high standards of service, hygiene, and cleanliness
- Monitor SOP implementation across all shifts
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen and service teams
Guest Experience & Service
- Ensure exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest complaints and escalations professionally
- Maintain positive guest relations and dining experience
- Monitor service quality, table turnover, and floor efficiency
- Support upselling and revenue generation initiatives
Team Management
- Supervise service staff, captains, servers, and baristas
- Ensure staff grooming, discipline, punctuality, and attendance
- Conduct on-floor training and team briefing sessions
- Support manpower planning and shift scheduling
- Build a positive and motivated team environment
Sales & Business Performance
- Support outlet sales targets and operational profitability
- Monitor average billing, upselling, and guest engagement
- Control operational wastage and support cost management
- Assist management in achieving monthly business goals
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational guidelines
- Maintain records related to attendance, shift operations, and incidents
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and statutory compliance standards
- Share daily operational updates with reporting managers
Skills Required
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and guest-handling abilities
- Good operational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced restaurant environments
- Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant SOPs
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate / Hotel Management preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of hospitality or restaurant experience
- Prior experience in team handling and floor management preferred
