Hospital Cashier
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Cashier to join our hospital team. The candidate will be responsible for handling patient billing, cash and digital payments, receipts, refunds, and daily financial transactions while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and other digital payment transactions accurately.
- Prepare and process patient bills for consultations, procedures, diagnostics, pharmacy, admissions, and other hospital services.
- Generate and issue receipts, invoices, payment acknowledgements, and refunds as applicable.
- Verify patient billing details and coordinate with the billing, front office, pharmacy, laboratory, and other departments.
- Handle OP and IP billing transactions and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all cash and digital transactions.
- Perform daily cash closing and reconciliation and report discrepancies to the concerned supervisor.
- Manage advance payments, deposits, adjustments, and refunds according to hospital policies.
- Coordinate with the insurance/TPA and billing departments when required.
- Assist patients and attendants with billing-related queries and explain charges professionally.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or any discipline.
- Previous experience as a Cashier/Billing Executive in a hospital or healthcare organization is preferred.
- Good knowledge of hospital billing procedures and payment processes.
- Basic understanding of medical insurance, TPA, cashless billing, and patient billing is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital billing/HIS software.
- Strong numerical and accounting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transactions efficiently.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Preferred Experience
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in cashiering, hospital billing, front office billing, or a similar healthcare role is preferred.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
