Employment Type
Full-time | Permanent
Experience Required
5 to 6 years (min. 2–3 years in a leadership/management role)
Role Overview
The SEO Manager at WHC drives organic growth across all client accounts by developing and executing data-led strategies that cover traditional SEO, technical optimization, content performance and next-generation search approaches — including AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), SXO (Search Experience Optimization), AXO (Agent Experience Optimization) and ASO (App Store Optimization).
Equally important is the Manager's responsibility for team leadership — including daily tracking, performance monitoring, workload management and mentoring of the SEO team to continuously raise output quality and capability.
Key Responsibilities
A. SEO Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement end-to-end SEO strategies for all WHC client accounts — aligned with each client's business objectives, industry and target audience.
- Integrate AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), Hybrid SEO, SXO (Search Experience Optimization) and AXO (Agent Experience Optimization) strategies across relevant accounts.
- Build and maintain SEO road-maps for each account — short-term quick wins and long-term sustainable growth strategies running in parallel.
- Manage multiple SEO projects simultaneously — prioritize initiatives, set timelines, allocate resources and ensure on-time delivery.
- Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates, AI search developments and emerging SEO technologies — and adapt strategies proactively.
- Track competitor SEO strategies, industry benchmarks and market trends to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive edge for all client accounts.
B. Team Leadership, Daily Tracking & Performance Management
- Lead, manage and mentor the WHC SEO team — setting clear expectations, KPIs and performance benchmarks for every team member.
- Conduct daily check-ins with the SEO team — track task progress, address blockers and ensure the day's priorities are being executed on time.
- Review and monitor individual team member performance on a weekly basis — assess output quality, identify skill gaps and provide structured feedback.
- Prepare and present monthly team performance reports to the CEO and CSO — covering individual productivity, project status, skill development progress and team-level KPIs.
- Create and maintain weekly task trackers and workload sheets for each SEO executive — ensuring balanced allocation, avoiding burnout and maximizing output.
- Identify underperforming areas within the team early and take corrective action — through coaching, process improvement or task reallocation.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions within the SEO team on a regular basis — upskilling the team on new tools, algorithm updates, techniques and best practices.
- Build a culture of accountability, continuous learning and data-driven decision-making within the SEO team.
C. Technical SEO
- Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits for all client websites — covering Core Web Vitals, site architecture, crawlability, indexation, page speed, mobile optimization and structured data.
- Implement and maintain structured data (Schema Markup) to optimize for rich results and AI-powered search platforms.
- Optimize site architecture for AI-ready search — including vector search readiness, entity-based SEO and semantic structure improvements.
- Manage Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and other diagnostic platforms — identify and resolve technical issues proactively.
- Oversee GA4 implementation and configuration — ensure proper conversion tracking, event setup, goal funnels and audience segments are in place via Google Tag Manager.
- Lead App Store Optimization (ASO) efforts for clients with mobile apps — keyword optimization, store listing improvements, ratings and review strategy.
D. Content Strategy & Management
- Lead content strategy for SEO across all accounts — ensuring content is relevant, optimized for both human users and AI search platforms and aligned with client brand voice.
- Develop content calendars, topic clusters, pillar page strategies and internal linking frameworks to maximize topical authority.
- Review and approve all SEO content before publication — ensuring quality, accuracy, proper keyword integration and adherence to E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) principles.
- Identify and prioritize content gap opportunities across all client accounts using data from SEMrush, Ahrefs, SurferAI and MarketMuse.
- Oversee e-commerce SEO — product page optimization, category structure, faceted navigation, schema for products and collection pages.
E. Revenue, Budget & Financial Management
- Manage the SEO department's revenue and financial performance — tracking organic growth contribution to client revenue.
- Oversee budget allocation for SEO tools, third-party resources and project-related expenses — ensuring maximum ROI.
- Monitor and report on the financial impact of SEO initiatives — organic revenue, cost per acquisition from organic, and overall ROI per account.
- Identify opportunities for upselling additional SEO services to existing clients — based on audit findings and performance data.
- Contribute to new business pitches — develop SEO audit reports, growth projections and strategy proposals for prospective clients.
F. KPI Monitoring, Reporting & Client Communication
- Define, track and report on SEO KPIs for each client account — organic traffic, keyword rankings, click-through rate, conversions, bounce rate, engagement rate and revenue impact.
- Build and maintain live SEO performance dashboards for all accounts — updated weekly.
- Prepare and present monthly SEO reports to clients — including performance analysis, insights, recommendations and the upcoming month's action plan.
- Attend monthly client meetings as the SEO lead — presenting reports, addressing client queries and managing expectations professionally.
- Proactively communicate with clients when technical issues arise — explain the issue, impact and resolution plan clearly and promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the Client Servicing team to ensure smooth communication and alignment between client expectations and SEO execution.
