Job Description – Junior Civil Engineer
Designation: Junior Civil Engineer
Department: Civil Engineering
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, execution, and supervision of civil works within the yard
- Monitor construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings, docks, slipways, roads, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections, measure work progress, and prepare daily progress reports.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal departments for smooth project execution.
- Verify material quality, quantities, and maintain records of civil works.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparing BOQs, estimates, work orders, and project documentation.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance of shipyard civil infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering.
- 0–2 years of experience (Freshers with relevant internship/training may also apply).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic project management tools is preferred.
Key Skills
- Basic knowledge of civil construction and infrastructure maintenance.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Team player with a willingness to work in a dynamic shipyard environment.
- Awareness of industrial safety and quality standards.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
