Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Night Shift Production Supervisor to oversee manufacturing operations during the night shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety compliance, and maximizing manpower and machine productivity. This role is best suited for candidates with experience in CNC machining and manufacturing shopfloor operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the night shift.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per daily and weekly production plans.
- Monitor machine performance and optimize machine utilization.
- Maintain product quality as per company standards and customer requirements.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.
- Lead, guide, and motivate machine operators and production staff.
- Manage manpower allocation, attendance, and shift scheduling.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, downtime records, and shift handover logs.
- Monitor daily production schedules to ensure on-time delivery commitments.
- Complete and review batch records, logbooks, and production documentation accurately.
- Perform in-process quality checks and support audits and inspections.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction.
- Ensure smooth communication and handover between shifts.

Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree (BE/B.Tech/DME) in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- ITI candidates with relevant manufacturing supervision experience may also apply.
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shopfloor supervision within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with CNC machines and conventional machining operations.
- Exposure to production planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, and automation systems.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and shopfloor best practices.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of CNC, VMC, fabrication, welding, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong planning, coordination, and team management abilities.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of production documentation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and handle shift operations effectively.
