About the Role
Chandigarh University is seeking a dynamic, confident, and professional News Anchor to join its media team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong on-camera presence, and the ability to present news, interviews, and university-related content in an engaging and credible manner across digital and broadcast platforms.
Job Responsibilities
- Present news bulletins, special reports, interviews, and university updates professionally.
- Research, verify, and prepare news scripts before broadcasts.
- Conduct live and recorded interviews with academicians, industry experts, students, and dignitaries.
- Collaborate with content writers, reporters, producers, and video editors to ensure high-quality productions.
- Deliver accurate and engaging news content while maintaining journalistic ethics.
- Participate in content planning, editorial discussions, and program development.
- Cover university events, seminars, conferences, and special programs.
- Ensure proper pronunciation, voice modulation, and audience engagement during presentations.
- Stay updated with current affairs, education trends, and industry developments.
- Assist in creating digital content for social media and online news platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in news anchoring, reporting, broadcasting, or media presentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Strong presentation, interviewing, and public speaking abilities.
