Job Title: Restaurant Floor Manager (High-Volume Casual Dine-In)
Job Summary: We are seeking a high-energy, sharp, and highly visible Floor Manager to lead our front-of-house (FOH) team during peak hours. In this role, your primary office is the dining room floor. You will be responsible for orchestrating fast table turns, managing long guest waitlists, and supporting the service staff in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses exceptional conflict-resolution skills, and can maintain an infectious, positive energy when the restaurant is at maximum capacity.Core Responsibilities
- Peak Flow Management: Direct the host stand, monitor the waitlist, and strategically assign tables to optimize seating capacity and minimize guest wait times.
- Active Floor Leadership: Run the floor during peak rushes, touch tables to gather guest feedback, and proactively assist servers, runners, and bussers when bottlenecks occur.
- Service Recovery: Intercept and resolve guest complaints instantly on the floor, turning negative situations into positive experiences before the guest leaves.
- Staff Coordination: Conduct pre-shift team meetings, assign floor stations, manage staff break rotations, and ensure side-work checklists are fully completed.
- FOH/BOH Liaison: Communicate constantly with the kitchen expeditor to monitor ticket times, manage order pacing, and resolve food modifications efficiently.
- Opening/Closing Duties: Manage cash drawers, perform safe drops, secure the premises, and complete daily shift reports detailing sales, labor, and floor incidents.
- Policy Enforcement: Ensure all front-of-house staff strictly adhere to steps of service, grooming standards, safety protocols, and responsible alcohol service.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of floor supervision or shift management experience in a high-volume, fast-casual, or casual dine-in restaurant.
- Crowd Management: Proven ability to manage long wait lines, handle high-stress situations, and make quick, logical decisions under pressure.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills to coordinate a large team and interact warmly with a high volume of diverse guests.
- Tech Literacy: Proficiency with high-volume POS systems (e.g., Toast, Aloha) and digital waitlist/reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable, Yelp Guest Manager).
- Availability: Total flexibility to work high-volume shifts, including Friday nights, weekends, and major holidays.
- Locations: Chityala and Suryapet.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain on your feet, moving at a fast pace for up to 9–10 hours per shift.
- Ability to navigate a crowded dining room safely and efficiently.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays, highchairs, or bins up to 15 kg (30 lbs) when supporting the team.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
