We are seeking a highly qualified HVAC and Public Health Engineering (PHE) Consultant to support our performance and compliance audit programs across a portfolio of commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 12 years of demonstrated experience in HVAC and PHE consulting within the commercial real estate or facilities management sector. The role requires regular travel (up to 40%) to various commercial sites for comprehensive audits, inspections, and technical assessments, as we strive to optimize building mechanical and fire safety systems and drive exceptional value for our clients.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Public Health Engineering, or a related discipline.
8–12 years of hands-on experience in HVAC/PHE consulting and audits, preferably in commercial real estate or large facility environments.
Extensive technical expertise in:
HVAC Systems: Chillers, cooling towers, pumps, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), ventilation and filtration systems, Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.
Water Treatment and Plumbing: Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, greywater recycling, stormwater management, pressure boosting systems.
Fire Safety Systems: Sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hydrants, fire alarm/detection systems, gas suppression systems.
Controls and Automation: Building Management Systems (BMS), energy management and monitoring platforms, IoT-based system performance monitoring.
Other Systems: Indoor air quality monitoring, emergency/standby power integration with mechanical and fire safety equipment.
Strong understanding of commercial facility operations, relevant safety standards, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, analytical, and technical reporting skills.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% for site audits, inspections, and client meetings.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; adept at working independently and collaboratively.

Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough technical audits and due diligence on HVAC, PHE, and fire safety systems within large-scale commercial buildings.
Prepare comprehensive assessment and compliance reports, including actionable recommendations for operational efficiency, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
Perform on-site inspections, system performance evaluations, and troubleshooting for mechanical, plumbing, and fire safety equipment.
Liaise with building managers, facility teams, and technical staff to review findings, coordinate corrective and preventive actions, and support implementation of improvements.
Deliver training sessions and knowledge sharing for client staff to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and optimization of building systems.
Stay up-to-date with current and emerging codes, standards, and technology advancements related to HVAC, PHE, and fire protection.
Maintain detailed, organized documentation for all audits and communications, ensuring clear deliverables and client transparency.
Represent FMAS professionally during all client interactions, demonstrating superior technical competence, excellent communication, and solution-oriented engagement.
Demonstrate a high level of technical competency and professional integrity at all client sites.
