Role Overview
We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer who has expertise in backend system development using best and secure practices. Within this role, you will help us define the technical architecture and backend infrastructure of our product, integrating modern technologies, scalable services, and reliable APIs.
You will play a key role in building and maintaining the core backend services that power our mobile application, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. You will also collaborate closely with mobile engineers to support seamless integration between backend systems and client applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power our mobile applications.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support platform functionality.
- Build and develop a mobile application using React Native, including fixing issues and adding new features.
- Design and implement backend workflows for user management, eSIM provisioning, payments, and usage tracking.
- Build reliable integrations with third-party services, telecom platforms, and external APIs.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability through proper architecture and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across backend infrastructure and services.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.
- Work closely with mobile developers to support API integrations and backend feature development.
About You
- You have 3+ years of experience in backend development and distributed systems.
- You have strong knowledge and experience in frontend and backend
- You have strong knowledge of telecommunications and cellular technologies.
- Fluent in modern programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Go, with strong knowledge of backend frameworks.
- Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend architectures.
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including writing efficient queries and designing schemas.
- Knowledge of API security, authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT), and secure backend practices.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud environments such as AWS, including deploying and managing backend services.
- Experience with Docker, containerisation, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Interest or exposure to AI/ML technologies to support future intelligent platform capabilities.
