Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Civil Site Accountant role based in Jharsuguda. The Civil Site Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities at the project site, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accurate documentation of project expenses and material consumption. Responsibilities include preparing and verifying bills, coordinating with site engineers and vendors, monitoring cash flow and payments, and supporting budget tracking for ongoing civil works. The role also involves ensuring compliance with company policies, assisting with internal and external audits, and preparing periodic financial reports for project management. The Civil Site Accountant will work closely with the site and head office teams to ensure timely and transparent financial information for project decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, bookkeeping, and site-level financial controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally or similar), MS Excel, and standard office applications.
- Ability to handle vendor bills, purchase orders, and reconciliation of materials and project costs.
- Familiarity with civil construction project documentation, including measurement books, work orders, and contractor billing.
- Attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to organize and maintain financial records at the site.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with engineering teams, vendors, and head office accounts.
- Capability to work independently at a project site, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; experience in construction or infrastructure accounting is an advantage.
- Understanding of basic taxation and statutory compliance relevant to construction projects (GST, TDS, etc.) is beneficial.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
