About the Organization:
Samvad Samajik Sansthan, established in 1998, is a non-profit organization committed to empowering children, women, and marginalized communities through community participation, transparency, and accountability. The organization works in child protection, prevention of child labour, trafficking and sexual abuse, women's empowerment, livelihoods, education, health, nutrition, and access to government welfare schemes. Through social audits, public dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives, Samvad strengthens grassroots governance and promotes inclusive, sustainable, and equitable development.
Our key working areas in Uttar Pradesh are Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Pratapgarh, Barabanki, and Lucknow.
Position: District Coordinator (7 Vacancies)
Locations: Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Amethi, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Rae Bareli, and Unnao, Uttar Pradesh.
Responsibilities:
Ensure the effective implementation and overall functioning of district-level project activities, with a sound understanding of child protection issues and project management.
Monitor district-level activities and ensure the timely implementation of project plans. Conduct regular follow-up with the team to ensure quality programme outcomes within the agreed timelines.
Plan and conduct field visits for team supervision, mentoring, and monitoring. Coordinate and undertake advocacy with relevant government departments and other key stakeholders.
Prepare documentation and submit timely reports.
Capture and maintain backups of quality photographs, success stories, and other programme documentation.
Desired Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW), Public Health (MPH), or a related discipline.
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in child protection, community development, or NGO projects.
Strong advocacy and coordination skills with government departments, statutory bodies, and child protection institutions.
Well-versed in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), internet applications, and AI productivity tools.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
The selected candidate may be assigned to any of the above-mentioned districts in Uttar Pradesh based on organizational requirements.
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
