Job Summary
Jamna Auto Industries Ltd. is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Shift Incharge to lead the AHT Parabolic Assembly Line operations. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, managing manpower, maintaining quality standards, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement activities within the assembly line.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Execute daily production plans and achieve shift-wise production targets.
- Ensure smooth operation of the AHT Parabolic Assembly Line.
- Monitor production output, productivity, and line efficiency.
- Coordinate with PPC and other departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
Manpower Management
- Handle and supervise a workforce of 20–40+ employees per shift.
- Allocate manpower effectively based on production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and employee performance.
- Train and guide operators to improve productivity and quality awareness.
- Maintain a positive and productive shop-floor working environment.
Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to product quality standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor critical assembly parameters and process compliance.
- Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and rejection reduction programs.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company regulations.
- Conduct shift-level safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Promote and maintain 5S standards in the work area.
- Report and address unsafe conditions and unsafe acts promptly.
Process & Productivity Improvement
- Monitor line performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Reduce downtime, rework, and process losses.
- Support Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper utilization of machines, tools, and resources.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare shift production reports and manpower reports.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and PPC departments.
- Escalate production, quality, or maintenance issues to management as required.
- Participate in production review meetings and improvement activities.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Assembly Line Operations in Manufacturing Industries.
- Proven experience in handling 20–40+ manpower on the shop floor.
- Good leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to achieve production targets under demanding conditions.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Safety Practices, and Continuous Improvement concepts.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge including MS Excel and MS Office.
