Role: Senior Audio / Multimedia Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Audio / Multimedia Test Engineer with strong hands-on knowledge in manual and automation testing of audio and multimedia systems, including AI-based audio features. The role involves evaluation of audio quality, codec performance, multimedia pipelines, and compliance with industry certifications such as Dolby and DTS.
- Test and validate AI-based audio features for quality, clarity, performance, and adaptability using manual and automation testing approaches.
- Evaluate audio and video codec performance (AAC, MP3, Dolby, DTS, H.264, HEVC, etc.) for playback quality, latency, and A/V synchronization.
- Develop and debug GStreamer pipelines to trace multimedia data flow, identify issues, and validate AI module integration.
- Perform advanced audio performance testing using tools such as Audio Precision, SoundCheck, and automation tools.
- Conduct objective and subjective audio measurements, including frequency response, THD, SNR, loudness, lip-sync, and spatial imaging.
- Collaborate with AI, acoustic, and software teams to analyze issues and optimize performance.
- Support Dolby and DTS certification and compliance testing.
- Perform requirement analysis, test case design, test case preparation, and execution.
- Participate in test planning, risk analysis, and release readiness reviews.
- Handle defect management, including logging, tracking, and closure.
- Mentor junior testers and contribute to process and documentation improvements.
- 4–8 years of experience in audio and multimedia testing.
- Strong understanding of audio codecs and multimedia frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with GStreamer and multimedia debugging tools.
- Experience using Audio Precision, SoundCheck, or similar audio testing equipment.
- Knowledge of audio acoustics, signal processing basics, and multimedia KPIs.
- Experience in manual and automation testing methodologies.
- Strong experience in test documentation and defect tracking tools.
- Exposure to Dolby / DTS certification processes is preferred.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with AI-based audio enhancement or processing.
- Scripting or automation for multimedia testing.
- Experience with embedded systems, TVs, or consumer electronics.
