Shilton Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering and Maintenance department across hotel operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all engineering systems, utilities, equipment, and infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Engineering & Maintenance department, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all engineering systems.
- Oversee the maintenance of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire & life safety systems, DG sets, STP, WTP, elevators, kitchen equipment, and building infrastructure.
- Ensure uninterrupted operation of all hotel facilities with minimal equipment downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, kitchens, banquet facilities, and back-of-house operations.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Prepare and manage the engineering department budget, including CAPEX and OPEX planning.
- Supervise engineering staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality and timely completion of work.
- Manage Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), service agreements, and vendor performance.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and local authority requirements.
- Coordinate with government departments for inspections, certifications, and licensing.
- Maintain engineering records, maintenance logs, asset registers, and technical documentation.
- Lead renovation, refurbishment, and engineering improvement projects.
- Ensure proper inventory management of engineering tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Support operational departments by resolving engineering-related issues promptly.
- Conduct technical training and performance reviews for the engineering team.
- Develop emergency response plans and ensure business continuity for engineering operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Professional certifications related to HVAC, Electrical Systems, Fire Safety, or Facility Management are an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in hotel engineering and facility management.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, or similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of hotel engineering systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, kitchen equipment, DG sets, STP, WTP, and elevators.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning and asset management.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Strong leadership, team management, and vendor management skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage engineering budgets and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
