Position 1: Senior Facade Designer
Experience: 12+ Years in Facade Industry
Salary: ₹80,000 – ₹1,00,000 per month
Position 2: Facade Designer
Experience: 3–5 Years in Facade Design/Execution
Salary: Up to ₹50,000 per month
Role Overview
The Facade Designer will be responsible for the design, detailing, coordination, and execution support of building facade systems. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of facade materials, building envelope systems, and design software, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Develop facade designs, shop drawings, and detailed construction drawings.
- Create 2D and 3D models for facade systems.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, and project teams during the design stage.
- Review project specifications and ensure design feasibility.
Technical Expertise
- Design and detail curtain walls, glazing systems, ACP cladding, GFRC panels, louvers, skylights, and canopies.
- Recommend suitable facade materials based on project requirements, performance, and cost.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Project Coordination
- Support fabrication and installation teams with technical guidance.
- Resolve site-related design and execution challenges.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
Client Management
- Prepare technical presentations, design proposals, and material submissions.
- Participate in client meetings and design review discussions.
Innovation & Sustainability
- Incorporate sustainable facade solutions and energy-efficient technologies.
- Work on BIM-based workflows and modern facade engineering practices.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Tekla, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of facade systems and building envelope design.
- Knowledge of curtain walling, structural glazing, cladding systems, and facade detailing.
- Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in commercial, residential, institutional, or high-rise projects.
- Exposure to BIM workflows and sustainable building practices.
- Ability to independently handle facade design and project coordination.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
