Job Summary
The Store & Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all store and inventory operations, ensuring accurate stock management, timely material availability, proper storage practices, inventory control, and compliance with company procedures. The role involves managing inventory records, supervising store personnel, coordinating with procurement and production teams, conducting stock audits, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support business operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
- Establish and maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
- Track stock movement, consumption patterns.
- Prevent stock shortages, overstocking, and inventory obsolescence.
- Analyze inventory data and prepare inventory forecasts.
Store Operations
- Manage daily store and warehouse activities.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and identification of materials and products.
- Maintain organized storage locations for efficient stock retrieval.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety and housekeeping standards.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and storage efficiency.
Goods Receiving and Inspection
- Supervise receipt of incoming materials and products.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect received goods for quantity, quality, and specification compliance.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding damaged, defective, or incorrect materials.
- Ensure timely preparation of Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
Stock Issuance and Material Distribution
- Authorize and supervise material issuance based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure accurate recording of inventory transactions.
- Manage stock transfers between departments, branches, or warehouses.
- Monitor inventory movement and maintain traceability records.
Inventory Control and Auditing
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock verification.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and reduce inventory shrinkage, losses, and damages.
- Support internal and external inventory audits.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inventory reports.
- Generate reports on stock status, inventory valuation, aging stock, and consumption trends.
- Ensure proper filing of inventory-related documents.
Team Management
- Supervise storekeepers, inventory executives, and warehouse staff.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
- Train staff on inventory procedures, ERP systems, and safety standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
