Job Title:
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Chemistry (CBSE)
Job Summary:
The PGT Chemistry teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to Classes XI & XII in accordance with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum. The role involves preparing students for board examinations, strengthening conceptual understanding, and integrating practical and application-based learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons as per CBSE syllabus for Grades 11 & 12.
- Teach Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry with a focus on conceptual clarity.
- Prepare students for CBSE board examinations with structured revision strategies.
- Design question papers, assignments, and periodic assessments aligned with CBSE patterns.
- Conduct and supervise laboratory sessions following safety guidelines.
- Analyze student performance and provide remedial support where needed.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and internal assessment documentation.
- Use digital tools (smart boards, presentations, simulations) to enhance learning.
- Guide students for competitive exams like NEET and JEE (foundation level).
- Participate in curriculum planning, staff meetings, and parent-teacher interactions.
Required Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry (mandatory)
- B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms)
Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school
- Proven experience teaching Classes XI & XII
Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of CBSE curriculum and exam pattern
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to simplify complex chemical concepts
- Experience in board exam preparation and result-oriented teaching
- Proficiency in using educational technology
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in preparing students for NEET/JEE
- Ability to develop innovative teaching methodologies
- Strong mentoring and student engagement skills
