Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with strong exposure to the Hyderabad market and proven experience in sourcing tunnel construction materials, machinery, and equipment. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, cost optimization, and timely procurement to support project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement for tunnel construction materials, equipment, and machinery.
- Source and procure materials such as steel, cement, shotcrete materials, rock bolts, lattice girders, ventilation systems, tunneling equipment, mechanical parts, and consumables.
- Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers in the Hyderabad and surrounding markets.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
- Prepare purchase orders, comparative statements, and vendor evaluations.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, mechanical teams, and stores for material planning and requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites to avoid delays in construction activities.
- Monitor market price trends and maintain updated supplier databases.
- Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Handle procurement for construction machinery spare parts and maintenance materials.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Mechanical / Civil / Supply Chain / Procurement or relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years of procurement experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong network of suppliers and vendors in the Hyderabad market.
- Experience in tunnel project procurement will be highly preferred.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of construction materials, machinery, and spare parts.
