Who are we looking for
We are seeking a senior and highly experienced Lead Systems Engineer to own the technical strategy and execution for new customer deployments and major upgrades. This strategic role is the primary technical authority for validating complex customer environments, architecting seamless connectivity, and ensuring the robust operationalization of all Skan components.
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment Strategy & Ownership
- Own and orchestrate the end-to-end technical execution of new customer Gateway deployments, from strategic planning through to successful completion.

Serve as the subject matter expert in validating customer infrastructure readiness, ensuring all technical prerequisites like networking, compute, and storage are met.

Partner with the Deployment department and engineering leadership to define timelines and drive a seamless operationalization process.

Architect and lead the technical execution for upgrading existing largescale customer environments.
Technical Architecture & Assurance

Design and oversee comprehensive end-to-end connectivity testing strategies between the core Skan components (VA, Cloud, and Gateway).

Establish and enforce best practices for documenting system architecture, configurations, and deployment procedures.

Ensure all customer environments are fully operational and stable following deployments and upgrades.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience
-
8-10 years in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar role, with proven experience in a lead or senior capacity focused on complex, large-scale deployments.

Expert-level experience architecting and managing solutions on cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Deep understanding of complex networking protocols, enterprise firewalls, and modern security best practices.

Advanced proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration.

Strong, practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

Demonstrated skill in scripting and automation to improve deployment efficiency (Python, Bash).

Extensive experience with enterprise-grade system monitoring and logging tools.

Technical Leadership: Ability to effectively manage multiple complex deployments and upgrades while guiding both internal and external technical teams.

Architectural Strategy: Deep infrastructure expertise with the ability to design and implement scalable, robust, and secure system architectures.

Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills for acting as a trusted advisor to customers and a key partner to internal teams.
Proactive Problem-Solving: A proven ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity challenges before they impact project timelines.
