Summary:
As an Application Tech Support Practitioner, a typical day involves serving as the continuous point of contact between clients and the application or system. This role focuses on maintaining high-quality service by effectively communicating with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth operation of world-class systems. The practitioner carefully identifies client issues, interprets their nature, and designs appropriate resolutions by leveraging a thorough understanding of the product. Daily activities include monitoring system performance, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that client concerns are addressed promptly and accurately to uphold service excellence.
Lead enterprise adoption and compliance of Data Governance across data products and spoke teams. Drive governance enablement, KPI based assurance, and sustained compliance through clear standards, operating cadence, and stakeholder alignment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to improve team processes and enhance overall service delivery.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and development.
Operationalize Policy across data products, platforms, and domains
Run DG Framework: enablement, intake assessment, remediation, quarterly reviews
Ensure metadata, catalog, lineage, data quality, access, and retention controls are implemented and evidenced
Drive governance onboarding and role clarity for Data Owners, Stewards, Spoke Leads
Track compliance gaps, own remediation actions, and escalate risks as required
Partner with Stakeholder for regulatory, privacy, and risk alignment
Produce executive ready dashboards and governance status reporting
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Data Governance, Risk Management, Governance Risk Compliance (GRC).
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Risk Management, Governance Risk Compliance (GRC).
- Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks and data lifecycle management.
- Ability to implement and enforce data policies and standards across multiple platforms.
- Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with governance requirements.
- Familiarity with tools and techniques for data auditing, monitoring, and reporting.
Required Experience
Senior experience in enterprise data governance (policy, controls, assurance)
Strong hands on exposure to metadata/catalog/lineage governance
Experience running KPI based governance measurement and reviews
Proven stakeholder management across business and platform teams
Tools / Knowledge (Preferred)
Metadata & catalog platforms (e.g., Collibra or equivalent)
Data quality, lineage, and governance reporting frameworks
Large scale, federated governance operating models
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Data Governance.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
