Position: Chemist

Job Summary
The Chemist is responsible for conducting chemical and physical analysis of coal samples to determine quality parameters, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing accurate test results to support production, quality control, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, prepare, and analyze coal samples from mines, stockpiles, washeries, and dispatch points.
- Perform proximate analysis, including moisture, ash, volatile matter, and fixed carbon determination.
- Conduct calorific value, sulfur, and other quality tests according to established standards.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record, verify, and interpret analytical data accurately.
- Prepare test reports and communicate results to relevant departments.
- Monitor coal quality during mining, processing, blending, and shipment operations.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related field.
- Knowledge of coal testing methods and laboratory procedures.
