About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled German Tutor to join our team and help learners develop their German language skills. The ideal candidate will be confident in teaching German at different proficiency levels and able to create an engaging, supportive, and practical learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct German language classes for students at various proficiency levels.
- Teach speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, assignments, and assessments.
- Assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Help students improve their communication skills and confidence in German.
- Prepare learners for German proficiency exams such as Goethe, telc, or ÖSD, where applicable.
- Maintain student attendance and performance records.
- Adapt teaching methods according to individual learner needs.
- Use digital tools and online platforms for effective classroom delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in German, Languages, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- B2 level proficiency in German preferred.
- Prior experience teaching German is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English.
- Ability to teach German grammar and conversational German effectively.
- Experience with A1–B2/C1 levels and exam preparation will be an advantage.
- Goethe, telc, ÖSD, or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
