Job Summary
The Warehouse Procurement Executive is responsible for procuring warehouse consumables, equipment, packaging materials, MHE spare parts, and operational supplies while ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and quality compliance. The role involves vendor management, purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and maintaining uninterrupted warehouse operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing
- Source and procure warehouse operational materials, including packaging materials, pallets, stationery, safety items, cleaning supplies, and consumables.
- Raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) as per business requirements.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure timely procurement to prevent stock shortages and operational disruptions.
- Track order status and coordinate with suppliers for on-time deliveries.
Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Monitor vendor performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service levels.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, including delays, shortages, and quality concerns.
Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to monitor inventory levels and reorder points.
- Ensure availability of critical warehouse consumables.
- Support periodic inventory audits and stock reconciliation.
- Minimize excess inventory while avoiding stock-outs.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain procurement records, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and contracts.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate with Finance for invoice verification and timely vendor payments.
- Maintain accurate procurement MIS reports.
Cost Control
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing and vendor negotiations.
- Analyze procurement trends and recommend process improvements.
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure cost optimization.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with Warehouse Operations, Finance, Logistics, and Inventory teams.
- Coordinate with transport and logistics partners for material movement.
- Support urgent procurement requirements during peak business periods.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Procurement, Warehouse Procurement, Purchase, or Supply Chain.
- Experience in 3PL, Logistics, E-commerce, FMCG, Manufacturing, or Retail warehouses is preferred.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
