Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech (Computer Science, IT, Electronics) or any Graduate with Hardware & Networking knowledge
The Desktop Trainee Engineer will be responsible for providing first-level technical support to end-users. The role involves troubleshooting desktop, laptop, and peripheral-related issues, performing basic installations, and ensuring smooth IT operations under the guidance of senior engineers.
Assist in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, and printers.
Provide support for operating systems, MS Office, and standard software applications.
Handle network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi).
Perform basic hardware replacement such as RAM, HDD, keyboard, or screen.
Coordinate with senior engineers or L2/L3 teams for unresolved issues.
Maintain records of IT assets and update ticketing tools with incident status.
Support users with email configuration, antivirus updates, and system performance checks.
Ensure adherence to company IT policies and escalation procedures.
Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking.
Knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and common applications.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow in IT infrastructure support.
