A reputed Japanese MNC Air Conditioner Manufacturing Company is establishing a new manufacturing plant in Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. This is a Greenfield Project, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who are willing to relocate to Tiruvallur and be part of a new manufacturing setup from the ground up.
Position Details
Job Title: Team Lead – Maintenance
Age Group: 30–35 years
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution.
- Additional qualifications or certifications in CAD, SPM (Special Purpose Machines), or industrial automation systems will be an added advantage.
Work Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in the air conditioner manufacturing industry or a similar home appliances manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in Greenfield projects, including machine erection, installation, commissioning, and production line setup.
Key Responsibilities & Skills Required
- Hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of imported rotary and assembly machines.
- Strong exposure to automated and robust manufacturing equipment.
- Experience in preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, including troubleshooting of production machinery.
- Ability to prepare and interpret CAD drawings, machine layouts, and production line installation plans.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance, including PLC systems, control panels, electrical circuits, and shop-floor equipment.
- Experience in managing plant utilities, including:
o STP (Sewage Treatment Plant)
o ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)
o DG Sets
o LPG/Gas Systems
o RO Plant
o Transformers
o Air Compressors and other plant utilities
- Experience in preparing documentation and handling statutory inspections, customer audits, and internal audits.
- Thorough knowledge of statutory compliance, including:
o CEIG inspections and all applicable TNEB regulations
o Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) requirements
o Factories Act and related statutory provisions
o Other applicable government regulations
- Strong leadership skills with proven experience in team management, coaching, and employee development.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional project teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Capable of managing both mechanical and electrical maintenance functions while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Preferred Competencies
- Working knowledge of Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, 5S, TPM, and other Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Willingness to travel overseas for machine supplier visits, equipment inspections, group company visits, and project-related activities.
- Ability to prepare and deliver technical presentations during global conferences and continuous improvement reviews.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with ERP/SAP systems.
Pay: Up to ₹1,000,000.00 per year
