Project Coordinator & Estimator – Firestopping

Job Summary
Vortexen is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator & Estimator – Firestopping for our Kochi office.
The candidate will support our UAE project team with estimation, BOQ review, quantity take-off, quotations, technical documentation, project coordination and follow-up for passive fire protection works.
Previous hands-on experience in Firestopping / Passive Fire Protection is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, BOQs, specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for firestopping works.
- Prepare and coordinate quotations and technical submissions.
- Understand firestop applications for penetrations, joints and related systems.
- Coordinate with sales, project, procurement and site teams.
- Maintain project documentation, submittals and trackers.
- Follow up RFQs, clarifications, approvals and pending technical information.
- Assist with material calculations and project planning.
- Coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers where required.
- Support ongoing UAE projects from the Kochi office.
- Maintain accurate project and estimation records.
- Assist in variation, additional-work and revised-quotation preparation.
- Ensure quotations and project documents are submitted within deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant Firestopping / Passive Fire Protection experience preferred.
- Civil or Mechanical Engineering background preferred.
- Experience in estimation and project coordination.
- Ability to read architectural, MEP and construction drawings.
- Experience preparing BOQs and quantity take-offs.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of firestop systems, materials and applications.
- Familiarity with UL/FM tested systems is an advantage.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong coordination and documentation skills.
- Able to work with UAE-based project and sales teams.
- Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple enquiries/projects.
