We are seeking an experienced Manager – Generation Planning (Hydro Power Plants) with strong expertise in utility business processes and SAP-enabled energy operations. The role will be responsible for managing generation planning, reservoir optimization, power scheduling, generation forecasting, regulatory reporting, and integration with SAP IS-U and enterprise utility systems.
The incumbent will lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, generation optimization, energy accounting, and decision-making for hydroelectric power generation assets. The role requires close collaboration with generation operations, load dispatch centers, commercial teams, regulatory bodies, and IT teams to ensure reliable and cost-effective power generation.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in hydro power operations, power generation planning, energy management, and SAP-based utility solutions.

Lead short-term, medium-term, and long-term generation planning activities for hydro power plants.

Prepare generation schedules based on:

Coordinate generation schedules with State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC), Regional Load Dispatch Centre (RLDC), and grid operators.

Optimize generation portfolios to maximize plant efficiency and revenue realization.

Monitor reservoir storage levels and water availability.

Support reservoir operation planning and water utilization strategies.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related discipline.

Master's Degree/MBA in Power Management, Energy Management, or Operations Management preferred.

SAP IS-U or SAP Utility-related certifications will be an added advantage.

10–15 years of experience in Power Generation, Hydro Operations, or Energy Utilities.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in hydro power generation planning and scheduling.

At least 3+ years in a managerial or team leadership role.

Experience working with hydroelectric generation utilities or state power generation organizations.
