Job Description
We are looking for an experienced VAS Validation Engineer with strong expertise in virtualization, automotive operating systems, embedded systems, graphics, and test automation. The role involves validating multi-VM environments, OS domains, boot flows, graphics/display, security, and automotive IVI use cases.
Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills
- Virtualization & Multi-VM Validation
- Hands-on experience with Xen hypervisor and multi-VM environments.
- Validate Android, Yocto, FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS VMs.
- Experience with virtio for camera, audio, media, GPU/NPU.
- Device passthrough including UART, I2C, SPI.
- Knowledge of AVIC, QoS, and VM orchestration.
- Boot & System Validation
- Boot optimization testing using core boot.
- Validation of S3/S5 power states and boot flows.
- Experience with bootloaders, SoC power states, and system recovery.
- OS & Automotive Validation
- Validation experience with Safe Linux, SDV AAOS, Yocto, FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS.
- Automotive compute platform and IVI feature validation.
- Validate graphics workflows and automotive use cases.
- FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS control-domain validation, CRC, safe rendering, crash fallback, and mixed-criticality flows.
- Graphics & Display
- AMD compositor validation including superframes, gestures, clone, and virtual outputs.
- Projection technologies such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- Debugging & Recovery
- Full-stack debugging using Unified Debugger.
- System recovery and failure-recovery validation.
- Cloud & AI
- VAS validation on AWS / Google Cloud.
- Experience with V710 and Ryzen AI workloads is a plus.
- Audio & Security
- Validation of HiFi5 audio pipelines and ACP features.
- Secure Boot validation through DomU.
Required Technical Background
- Strong programming/scripting skills in C, C++, Python, and Shell.
- Strong understanding of Linux kernel, hypervisors, drivers, bootloaders, and SoC power management.
- Hands-on experience with Xen and multi-VM orchestration.
- Experience developing and automating test suites for virtualization, boot, OS domains, and IVI features.
- Experience with PyTest, Python/Shell-based automation frameworks.
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins and/or GitLab CI.
- Strong debugging, validation, and problem-solving skills.
