Stores & Inventory Manager — Fan Manufacturing (Multi-Plant) | Kolkata

We're a growing fan manufacturing company running multiple production plants in the Kolkata region. We're looking for a senior Stores & Inventory Manager to take complete ownership of stores across both our plants and modernize how we track and manage material.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who has built a stores function from the ground up — set up the systems, built and led the team, and personally fixed inventory problems on a shop floor.
What you'll own:
End-to-end stores management across two manufacturing plants
Building and leading the stores team — hiring, structuring, and training from scratch where needed
Driving inventory accuracy through disciplined cycle counting and physical verification
Implementing a QR/barcode-based tracking system for material traceability and faster retrieval
Setting up min-max levels, reorder points, and FIFO discipline to eliminate both stock-outs and excess/dead inventory
Building SOPs that the team can sustain long after they're put in place
Coordinating with production, purchase, and stores to ensure material availability without overstocking
What we're looking for:
10+ years in stores / inventory / materials management in a manufacturing environment, including team leadership
A track record of building systems and teams from scratch — not just running an existing setup
Proven experience implementing a barcode/QR or ERP-based inventory system (be ready to describe the before/after impact)
Hands-on command of ERPNext (Frappe) — its Stock module, item management, and warehouse setup
Solid grasp of cycle counting, reorder-level planning, and dead-stock control
A systems-builder mindset — someone who creates processes that outlast them
Based in Kolkata or willing to relocate/work on-site here
