Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and passionate PGT English to teach English language and literature at the senior secondary level. The candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, preparing students for board examinations, and fostering critical thinking, communication, and literary appreciation.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to Classes XI and XII as per CBSE/ISC/State Board curriculum
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons using effective teaching strategies
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessments
- Evaluate students’ academic progress and maintain academic records
- Prepare students for board examinations and competitive exams, where applicable
- Encourage reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills
- Organize debates, literary clubs, presentations, and related co-curricular activities
- Provide academic support and mentoring to students
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in English (M.A. English)
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) – mandatory
- Qualified Teacher Eligibility Test (as per board norms), if applicable
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience at senior secondary level preferred
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may also apply
