Job Summary: The Intervention Teacher identifies students needing extra help, diagnoses specific learning gaps, and provides intensive, short-term academic support. This professional works closely with general classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to implement targeted learning strategies, primarily in foundational reading, writing, and mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Targeted Instruction: Deliver high-impact, small-group or one-on-one lessons in core subjects like math and literacy.
- Student Diagnostics: Administer and analyze screening tools to pinpoint student learning gaps and academic struggles.
- Progress Monitoring: Track student performance data frequently to measure the effectiveness of the interventions used.
- Curriculum Adaptation: Modify standard classroom lessons and materials to fit the specific learning speeds of struggling students.
- Collaborative Planning: Partner with general education teachers to align intervention lessons with main classroom goals.
- Parent Communication: Share student progress data regularly with parents and suggest home-based support activities.
- Data Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of student attendance, assessment scores, and behavioral milestones.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related academic discipline.
- Certification: Valid teaching license, certificate in Remedial Education, or Special Education credential.
- Experience: 2+ years of classroom teaching experience, preferably working with at-risk or struggling learners.
- Data Literacy: Strong ability to read, interpret, and use student assessment data to guide daily lessons.
- Patience & Empathy: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust with frustrated or unmotivated students.
Pay: ₹10,221.79 - ₹39,292.11 per month
