As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Senior Ecommerce Marketplace Growth & Commercial Operations Manager to lead marketplace growth, seller ecosystem development, catalog expansion, customer acquisition, operational excellence, and commercial performance across the platform.
Position Overview:
The Senior Ecommerce Marketplace Growth & Commercial Operations Manager will be responsible for driving marketplace growth through seller acquisition, category expansion, catalog governance, product visibility, customer lifecycle management, marketplace operations, conversion optimization, and revenue growth.
This role requires a commercially driven ecommerce professional with hands-on experience managing marketplaces, multi-vendor commerce platforms, large product catalogs, and high-volume ecommerce operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of marketplace economics, digital commerce growth strategies, ecommerce operations, product feed ecosystems, analytics, and performance optimization.
The role will work closely with leadership, product, technology, operations, marketing, and external partners to build a scalable and growth-oriented marketplace ecosystem.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketplace Growth & Commercial Performance
- Drive marketplace GMV, revenue, order volume, customer growth, and commercial performance.
- Develop and execute marketplace growth strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to increase transactions, customer engagement, and seller participation.
- Monitor marketplace performance and recommend initiatives to improve commercial outcomes.
- Support strategic planning for category growth and marketplace expansion.
Seller Acquisition, Enablement & Marketplace Development
- Develop and execute seller acquisition strategies targeting brands, manufacturers, distributors, publishers, and independent merchants.
- Manage the complete seller lifecycle including onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, and performance improvement.
- Establish seller performance standards and operational frameworks.
- Drive seller success initiatives to improve marketplace participation and product availability.
- Build long-term relationships with strategic marketplace partners.
Category Management & Merchandising
- Develop category growth strategies across marketplace segments.
- Manage assortment planning, category expansion, and product mix optimization.
- Identify product gaps and growth opportunities within categories.
- Improve merchandising, product discoverability, and category performance.
- Monitor category-level revenue and performance metrics.
Catalog Governance & Product Information Management
- Manage catalog quality, taxonomy, product attributes, and data standards.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of product information.
- Improve catalog health and product discoverability.
- Establish listing standards and catalog governance processes.
- Support scalable catalog expansion initiatives.
Ecommerce Operations & Marketplace Excellence
- Oversee marketplace operational performance and process optimization.
- Monitor order lifecycle performance and fulfillment workflows.
- Improve customer experience across the complete commerce journey.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with technology and operations teams to improve platform performance.
Product Feed Management & Commerce Distribution
- Manage Google Merchant Center and commerce feed ecosystems.
- Optimize product feeds for visibility, compliance, and performance.
- Monitor feed diagnostics, approvals, and product visibility metrics.
- Improve shopping feed quality and catalog distribution.
- Support multi-channel commerce and product discovery initiatives.
Customer Acquisition, Retention & Lifecycle Growth
- Develop initiatives focused on customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value growth.
- Improve repeat purchase rates and customer engagement.
- Analyze customer journeys and conversion funnels.
- Support customer lifecycle marketing strategies.
- Drive initiatives focused on long-term customer value and retention.
Marketplace SEO & Organic Growth
- Develop and execute ecommerce SEO strategies.
- Optimize category pages, product pages, landing pages, and content assets.
- Improve organic traffic, product discoverability, and search visibility.
- Manage technical SEO initiatives including structured data, schema implementation, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals.
- Monitor search performance and SEO growth metrics.
Analytics, Reporting & Business Intelligence
Monitor and report on:

Professional Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Management, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Ecommerce, Marketplace Management, Digital Commerce, Retail Commerce, or Online Marketplace Operations.
- Proven experience managing multi-vendor marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, or large-scale online commerce businesses.
- Experience handling significant order volumes (10,000+ orders preferred).
- Experience managing large product catalogs (1,000+ SKUs preferred).
- Strong understanding of marketplace operations, seller lifecycle management, category management, merchandising, and ecommerce growth.
- Demonstrated experience driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and operational performance.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
