We are looking for an experienced and responsible Production Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations of our LED assembly line. The person will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining product quality, safety, manpower efficiency, and minimum production losses.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in LED light assembly, PCB/MCPCB assembly, driver assembly, soldering, wiring, testing, and final inspection, along with strong manpower and shop-floor management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities on the LED assembly line.
- Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor the complete assembly process from component preparation to final packing.
- Ensure proper assembly, soldering, wiring, driver fitting, PCB/MCPCB installation, testing, and inspection.
- Monitor production quality and ensure compliance with defined SOPs, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Identify and reduce production defects, rejection, rework, material wastage, and line stoppages.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, PPC, and Purchase teams to ensure smooth production.
- Monitor availability and consumption of raw materials, components, tools, and consumables.
- Maintain proper production records, including output, rejection, downtime, manpower, and material consumption.
- Conduct line clearance and ensure proper changeover between different LED models/SKUs.
- Train operators and helpers on assembly procedures, safety practices, and quality requirements.
- Ensure operators follow proper work methods and maintain workplace discipline.
- Monitor machine, testing equipment, soldering stations, and other production equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns and minimize machine downtime.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement activities.
- Investigate production issues and take corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules and proper use of PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production floor.
- Prepare daily production reports and communicate production status to management.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of LED light assembly and electronics manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of LED PCBs/MCPCBs, LED drivers, wires, connectors, housings, lenses, and related components.
- Basic knowledge of soldering and electronic testing.
- Ability to read and understand production drawings, BOMs, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Strong manpower handling and leadership skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Basic knowledge of Excel and production reporting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under production targets and time constraints.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and basic quality tools will be an advantage.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / ITI / B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in LED bulb, LED panel, LED downlight, floodlight, streetlight, tube light, driver, or other electronic/lighting product assembly will be preferred.
