We are seeking an empathetic, organized, and detail-oriented Hospital Receptionist to join our front desk team. You will be the first face patients see when entering the facility, responsible for ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and calm environment while managing critical administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Check-in/Check-out: Greet patients and visitors warmly, verify identity, collect necessary paperwork, and guide them to the correct departments.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or in-person.
- Information & Records: Create new patient files, update Electronic Medical Records and ensure strict compliance with medical privacy laws
- Billing : answer billing inquiries, and collect co-payments or outstanding balances.
- Communication: Handle a multi-line phone system, route calls to doctors and specific departments, and take accurate messages.
- Waiting Area Maintenance: Keep the reception and waiting areas clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary forms and office supplies.
- Emergency Coordination: Assist in guiding patients during medical emergencies and direct them to triage areas when necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Experience: 0–5 years of experience as a medical receptionist, hospital clerk, or in a similar fast-paced customer service role.
- Technical Skills: Good with computers, office management software.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, multitasking, and organizational skills. Must possess a high level of empathy and professionalism when dealing with anxious patients.
- Confidentiality: High integrity regarding sensitive health and financial information.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
