Summary
As an Application Developer specializing in SAP Transportation Management (TM), you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring solutions to support logistics and transportation processes during ECC to S/4HANA migration. You will play a key role in optimizing transportation planning, execution, and freight management operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Work independently and develop expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP TM
Actively participate in fit-gap analysis and solution design for S/4HANA migration
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate transportation requirements into SAP solutions
Configure and implement transportation planning and execution processes
Support data migration activities, including validation and reconciliation
Manage transportation processes including:
Freight planning and order management
Freight unit and freight order management
Transportation execution and shipment tracking
Work closely with EWM and ERP integration processes (e.g., freight order integration with warehouse execution)
Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, RICEF objects, and issue resolution
Perform testing, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and clean core principles

Must-Have Skills
Strong proficiency in SAP TM (Transportation Management)
Strong understanding of transportation planning and execution processes
Hands-on experience in:
Freight order management
Freight unit planning
Transportation execution and tracking
Experience with:
Transportation lanes and planning
Carrier selection and freight costing
Shipment execution and monitoring
Experience in S/4HANA migration (Brownfield/Greenfield) or rollout projects
Knowledge of integration with SAP modules such as:
SAP EWM
SAP SD
SAP MM
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Good-to-Have Skills
Knowledge of ABAP/debugging
Exposure to SAP Fiori applications
Experience with transportation optimization and routing tools
Exposure to global logistics or freight management scenarios
Additional Information
Experience working in SAP S/4HANA TM environments is preferred
SAP certification in Transportation Management or S/4HANA Supply Chain is an added advantage
Experience in end-to-end supply chain or logistics projects will be beneficial.
